What is Ergonomics?

Ergonomics – is the study of people’s efficiency in their working environment.

According to CESSI, “Ergonomics is the science of adapting the work process and tailoring the work environment to meet the physical and psychological needs of people.” According to OSHA, “Ergonomics means fitting a job to a person – helps lessen muscle fatigue, increases productivity, and reduces the number of severe of work-related MSDs (Musculoskeletal Disorders)”

Ergonomics is known to be synonymous with human factors; it is a multidisciplinary field that studies the design of equipment and devices that fit the human body.

  • A personalized action plan

  • Custom stretching routines

  • Behavioral and equipment recommendations
